holographic

Today I got my very first professional manicure. It was great! I love the polish that I chose and it was actually very relaxing in a funny way to sit there and have someone else tend to my nails.

They had SO many colours to choose from and initially I thought I was going to have a really hard time finding the perfect one but as I was scanning through the wall of polishes I came across this absolute gem - OPI Designer Series Shimmer.
OK, so I know I don't have the most photogenic fingers (I don't think I'll ever be a hand model) but all that aside, the thing I like most about this polish is that without direct light on the nails, it looks just like a subtle silver polish BUT as soon as some sunlight or direct light shines on the nails they turn holographic! I personally think it looks amazing, I can't stop admiring my nails. The photo doesn't really do it justice, you have to see it in the flesh to really appreciate the glitteryness of it all.

I have a wedding next weekend and I am going back next Friday for another mani, which I can't wait for! Just have to choose a colour from the millions that are there that will match my dress. I bought this beautiful maxi dress from Forever New. Its a bit hard to explain but I'll try, its a floral design, kimono style on top with a waist tie under the bust and flowy sleeves. Its very neutral/nude in colours but it is SO lovely. Plus I was most excited that I was able to find some shoes that match PERFECTLY from Temt and an absolute steal at $45. I really didn't spend any of my own money because I had gift vouchers from Xmas left over which was great seeing as I am currently unemployed and quickly running out of mulla!

Ok, time to get ready for beddie pies.

ASOS

After reading the Vogue forums and seeing everyones comments about it, I was intruiged to see what http://www.asos.com/ was like.

After visiting the site and only 1 purchase later, I have come to the conclusion that I am totally in love with Asos. Not only do they have an absoultely AMAZING range of EVERYTHING, they also seem to update their sale stock regularly and its all so affordable! Plus, they always have promo codes for discounts such as 20% off, free shipping etc. It is truely the greatest online shopping destination (I think so anyway)!

I told my sister about it and she has become quickly addicted too, along with all the girls she works with.

In so many ways its a great thing, but in other ways not so great for my bank account!

I am on the hunt for a dress for a wedding I have coming up in February. I found this perfect Ted Baker one....but it doesn't ship to Australia (massive sad face).

I think it is the most beautiful dress. I am so sad it doesn't ship here because I would buy it in a heartbeat. The colour is just amazing.

The great thing about Asos is they offer a range of sizes too. They have a Petite range and a Curve range. I think this is great for everyone because there aren't many places that offer this kind of variety. Usually its the standard sizes and not everyone always fits this so I think its a wonderful idea.

Thumbs up for Asos!

This is what I purchased from the site about 2 weeks ago, the shipping was great too - only $18 AUS which is rare to find.
In total, the dress & bikini cost me around $50 AUS which I think is great! I definately recommend buying from Asos. Its so worth it!
